So, you know that photography session that I talked about a few weeks ago? The rep came to our house tonight to show us the pictures and to discuss the packages that we could purchase. The pictures were great and Grumble and Auge are really cute in them so they were so hard to choose from. I definitely wanted to get my free 8×10 and 10×13 but there were a lot of other good pictures that I wanted to get too. Unfortunately, the packages they offer are crazy expensive! The lowest priced package was just under $200. I was floored. But I totally shelled out for one of the packages with the digital copies on cd. I know I’m a sucker but the pictures were really good! I just won’t use them again. I guess there’s something to be said about the poor customer service at the places in the mall. They are so sucky that you don’t feel bad about only getting the free picture.
Today is the last day for NaMoBloPo and I feel like a failure because I didn’t really accomplish any of my goals. I really wanted to spend more time writing posts and get better at it but I found myself posting at the last possible minute because i would forget or be too busy during the day to do it. In the future I’m going to try to be better but who knows if it will happen. I’m going to be very busy getting the house ready for the holidays.

Now that Thanksgiving is over it’s time to start thinking about Christmas. It’s the first time we’re going to celebrate Christmas at home so we have no Christmas decorations or stockings. I’ve spent my evening trying to research decorations I can make with Grumble. So far, I’ve found lots of things to print out and make shrinky dink ornaments with. I think my tree will be covered in Wow, Wow Wubbzy, WALL-E, and dinosaur ornaments since those are the things that my son is really into now. I also plan on making a clothespin wreath to display holiday cards and felt stockings and a tree skirt. Hopefully, I will have enough time to make those and knit presents before Christmas.
Do you have any ideas of crafty things I can make with my 2 year old?

I hope everybody had a good holiday. I had a great time today and am completely stuffed. I got all stressed out about baking pies and getting the house ready for the feast that it took me awhile today to finally unwind.
I didn’t have to make the full meal I split the duties with my mom and older sister. I was responsible for making pies, rolls, and hosting the meal. My sister made the turkey, stuffing, and more pies. My mother made the asparagus and mashed potatoes. The meal was pretty good but started late so we were starving by the time we sat down to eat.
I made a pecan pie, cherry pie, and a coconut custard pie. They all turned out ok except I need to learn how to make better pie crust. The crusts shrunk back I can’t flute very well. They taste good and I think I’m going to go eat some now.
